Head Receptionist

Before joining Quarrington Veterinary Surgery in 2007, I spent a brief time in another practice as a Nursing Assistant.  My role at QVS is mainly as Head Receptionist.  I have also successfully completed the Veterinary Care Assistant's course, (V.C.A.)

I live with my bunch of Golden Retrievers, and I spend many hours out walking.  We particularly enjoy beach walks.  I also enjoy horse riding, the cinema, reading and eating out.

30 years ago I worked as an animal nurse. Having been a Tesco manager for too long, I decided I would work back where I started - at a Veterinary Surgery. I foster for Cats Protection and am owned by a houseful of my own cats, plus my 3 rescue dog

I have worked in customer services for a few years now.

I am passionate  about animals and understand how difficult it is to lose a pet. I have had many pets throughout my life and at the moment I have a sprocker spaniel called Chad, a guinea pig called Mia and a bearded dragon called Storm.

I joined Quarrington Vets in Febuary 2014 and relish the challenge that each day  brings. I live with my son Taylor and when I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and regularly support  my son's football team.

I joined Quarrington Veterinary Surgery as a receptionist in January 2017. In 2015 I completed a level 3 NVQ course in Animal Management at Riseholme College so after a years maternity leave, I was keen to secure an animal care related position.

I love to travel the world and try to volunteer at animal rescue and rehabilitation centres where I can. I have previously volunteered with monkeys, parrots, reptiles and Jungle Cats in South America.

At home I have 3 cats, a house rabbit, a californian corn snake, fish and also have hedgehogs and a muntjac deer which visits the garden.

A Lifetime of Quality Care

Denise Knott Receptionist

As a newcomer to the QVS team joining in November 2017, I am looking forward to working in an environment where I get to see animals everyday at work. Previously my background has been receptionist in an office environment as well as providing customer service in the retail sector. I love animals and have two cocker spaniels at home which I enjoy walking every day. I am looking forward to getting to know the regular clients and their pets at QVS as well as the staff members here.

Yolanda Lake Receptionist

Having only moved to the Lincolnshire area in the last few years,

I have joined the reception team here at Quarrington Vets as of January 2018 after previously working at another vets in the Lincolnshire area.  I have also been an animal lover throughout my life like all my colleagues and have settled down in Sleaford with my fiancé and our many animals.

Most of my spare time is spent cleaning and looking after our animals but when I have a spare moment I love to paint and explore new places.

I am very much looking forward to getting to know all our regular clients!
